Thank You

Thank you for your support this year.  I send blog posts out into the world and I really appreciate you for taking the time to read them and for sending me your comments and support.  This year has been really busy and fun.  We painted the studio this summer a lovely shade of blue (no more orange wall!).  I ran 3 sets of classes for kids and adults out of our home studio.  In the fall I split the class into two since they were getting so big.  I also ran 4 wine and paint nights.  Who knew that a comment from a lovely friend about running art classes out of my house last year could turn into this!

My art goals for 2018 are exciting but also a bit daunting.  I want to start after school art classes at the girls school in the spring, run an art camp for one week in the summer and put together an around the world online art course that will run in the summer.  This last goal is the most challenging since technology is not my strength but I am not going to let that stop me.

I am grateful to my husband who puts up with paint on everything, supports my crazy ideas and moves the couch every week before the art classes.  I am also grateful to my kids for helping out with the classes and having lots of creative energy and ideas. I also have friends that come out to every event I am part of and support my art.  I joined a thrive mastermind group this year to keep me on track with my art goals and this has been really helpful.

I am sending out lots of hugs to everyone for the holiday season.  Be kind to yourself in this busy time and take a few moments to yourself to pause and breath ( or have a tea or better yet a glass of wine!).

Art Classes in January

My art classes starting in January are almost full.  Don’t miss out on the fun!

I really believe that everyone has the ability to be creative.  I want to encourage adults and children to have fun and be inspired.  This set of art classes will focus on composition and the building blocks of successful art.  We will have fun exploring concepts used in art such as repetition, rule of thirds, vanishing line and contrast.   We will be exploring different art materials such as water colours, acrylics, tempura paints, oil pastels, soft pastels and we will even be learning how to make our own stamps. Each student will receive a presentation book to keep all their beautiful paintings in and all supplies are included.

In order to keep the classes smaller,  I will run the same class at two different times on Wednesday evenings, so choose the time that works best for you.  All registration is going through Eventbrite so you can use visa to pay for it. I can’t wait to create with you.
