Running out of time to carve pumpkins? Do this instead! Learn to make pumpkins that glow with neon paint and black light flashlights.
Every year we get lots of pumpkins from the pumpkin patch and then run out of time to carve all of them. We usually get 1-2 done before Halloween night. This year I came up with an easy pumpkin decorating idea that is fast and fun.
Materials
Neon Paint can be found at Dollar Stores, Michaels, craft stores and Amazon. Make sure it says Neon paint, not glow in the dark paint.
Black light flashlights can be found at Home Depot or Amazon. They are different from regular flashlights since they make neon paint glow.
Pumpkins-I used white pumpkins but orange ones work well too.
Simply paint anything you want on your pumpkin with the Neon paint and then attach a black light flashlight above it to make it glow! I had fun painting a face, spider web, polka dots and stripes. You can also carve your pumpkin and then add in neon paint details as well.
Such an easy fun art project. What would you paint on your pumpkin? Check out the VIDEO on how to do this project.
