5 Ways to get back to Creating

So many people have said how hard it is to create in 2020 with everything going on in the world. You may have the time at home but not the energy to create.   I have definitely felt less motivated this year and I have really made an effort to keep painting.  Here are some ways to inspire you to create again:

Set aside time to create. I prefer to wake up before everyone else to paint, other people like to create at night when everyone goes to bed.   Find little breaks in your day to fit in creating.   When I take time away from painting, it feels harder to get back into it.

Start your day with a meditation. It is amazing how much this will help. You can find a lot of free ones on You Tube. Find one that helps you relax and inspires you.

Don’t put a lot of expectations on yourself or try to do a big project.  Doodle, splash paint on paper, and just have fun.

Take a fun course to get you inspired again! Sign up for a course your favorite artist is running, try something new.  Sometimes leaning new skills can jump start you into feeling creative again.
