Summer Olympic Art

olympic crane art

I love the Olympics!  I am going to be doing quite a few art activities around the Summer Olympics starting with a painting tutorial of a Japanese Crane (red crowned crane) carrying the Olympic torch.  This art activity can be done with markers or paints. I wanted to come up with something unique for the Olympics.    The Red Crowned Crane, also called the Manchurian Crane or Japanese Crane is a symbol of luck, longevity and fidelity.

Click this You Tube link on my Wendy Meades Channel to learn to paint this beautiful bird.  while you are on You Tube don’t forget to subscribe!  Stay tuned for more Olympic Art.

What is happening around here…..

Adult Paint Night The summer paradise adult paint night was good fun!  Some of the women were asking if I would start an art club membership for adults.  Would you be interested?  I was thinking of 1-2 paintings/month with acrylic paints and also guest artists.
