Hello lovely people, I hope you are starting to enjoy some spring weather in your part of the world. Since we moved to a new house in December, I decided not to put the kids in a lot of programs. It is so amazing to watch the kids create and play when they don’t have to rush off to a program. My younger daughter has made a whole restaurant in the corner of our dining with over 70 foods she has drawn and cut out of paper. My older daughter has made wonderful creations on her loom and has taught herself macrame. The other day I wanted to take them to a drop in paint your own pottery session and they both decided they wanted to stay home and play. That was when I realized how wonderful it is to give kids the gift of unscheduled time. It is also so much more relaxing for me as well. Are you giving your kids the gift of unscheduled time? I would love to hear your ideas on this.
