Hello lovely people, I hope you are doing well. In February I like to remind myself to love who I am and to celebrate the gifts I have been given as a person. We spend time being kind to others but we also need to be kind to ourselves. Here are some ideas of how to do this:
–Take yourself on a date and do something you love. For me, it is painting, going to an art gallery or going for a walk on the beach. Try to do one thing this month just for you.
–Meditation-Take time to pause and focus on your breathing even if it is just for 5 minutes a day. I found a lovely self love meditation at Surginglife.com.
–Spend some time with a friend. Friends are the ones who know what your strengths are. We all live busy lives but when I take some time to be with a friend I always feel better afterwards. Go for a walk together, or a coffee shop and enjoy laughing and having fun.
–Be Creative-We spend a lot of time using the logical side of our brain in our day. Take some time to use the creative side of your brain. Adult colouring books have been quite popular lately and you can find them in the dollar store now. Use your kids crayons and do some doodles on a page. Play the instrument that has been collecting dust in your house, take 5 minutes to write a poem, write that short story that has been in your head. Just have fun and do one creative thing.

I ran a Wine and Paint night with the theme of being kind to yourself this month and it was good fun! I was so impressed by how everyone just went for it with adding texture and beautiful colours to their paintings. The next wine and paint night is on April 29th and will be a Tree of Life painting.
