Children playing outside

daughters are precious

Hello lovely people,  I hope you are enjoying your summer.  Do you remember playing for hours outside as a child?  I used to play with all the neighbourhood kids without my parents around and the rules were stay off the road and come in when it’s getting dark.  Times have changed and parents feel less comfortable with their kids playing outside on their own.  This is the first summer my girls (they are almost 6 and 8) have started playing outside  in the townhouses and I had to share a scene they set up the other day.  I was upstairs doing something and I came down to a little party my kids had set up on the deck.  They had put out a picnic blanket, had music  playing from my cell phone, craft paper, scissors, glue and markers, strawberries on a plate and lemonade.  They had gathered all ages of kids from 4 to 11 boys and girls and they were all sitting nicely on our tiny deck creating, drawing, chatting and eating.  It warmed my heart to see them playing hostess and for everyone to be having so much fun.  I always wanted to have the house all the kids wanted to hang out at! Sending lots of sunshine and hugs to you.
