Hi There, I hope you are enjoying this long weekend. I love doing creative projects with my two girls and the long weekend is a great opportunity for that. They often come up with their own creative ideas and we go for it. Most of their ideas involve some kind of mess (my poor husband) but as most of my friends know, I don’t mind a little mess! Lately I have been trying to let them lead more with the creative things they want to do. My younger daughter loves to build little areas in the house like a library, a reading corner with curtains over a chair, a restaurant in the dining room and so on. My older daughter likes to create in the kitchen. Lately she has been melting lollipops or hard candies and placing them in candy molds. The other day she had a whole conversation with me about how cooking and baking is just as creative as painting. I am trying to let go of my own ideas and let them come up with their own. I encourage you to do the same in your house and I would love to hear all about it.
I run art classes where children and adults can be creative together. The adults that have joined the art classes with their children love seeing the creations their kids come up with and watching the process unfold. Here is the information for my next set of classes. I hope you can join us. Happy Creating everyone!
