Hello lovely people, I hope you are having a great March break. I was painting a large canvas recently and my 6 year old daughter wanted to paint a canvas as well so I gave her a small one. As I started painting I felt badly that she had such a small canvas so I decided to let her help me with the background. My idea was we could use breyers to roll on colour and then I would paint over it with trees. She got inspired and started painting a beautiful painting and she had a whole story to go along with it. It was the first time I let her paint on such a large canvas and it was one of my favourite moments with her. There is no way I can paint over her creation now. Seeing her paint reminded me to just go for it and to not treat a large canvas as ‘precious’. She came up with some colour combinations that I love including using fluorescent pink! Never underestimate the creativity of a child! Check out her painting and her fashion statement of wearing my overalls over her pajamas. Happy creating everyone.
